I'm an independent climate consultant and product builder. I work with sustainability teams to strengthen their climate action from the inside — and build systems that make corporate climate performance more transparent to anyone who needs it.
I spent the early part of my career in the energy industry, working in oil & gas exploration, and then downstream energy consulting.
In 2020, driven by a growing conviction that the sector wasn't moving with the urgency that climate breakdown requires, I pivoted into sustainability consulting. Here, I applied my consulting and energy expertise and later grew subject matter expertise in greenhouse gas accounting, net zero and climate risk workstreams.
Timeline
Undergraduate & masters degrees
Studied Earth Sciences and Geophysics (BSc Durham, MSc Leeds) with the aim of entering the oil & gas industry. Along the way I picked up an early interest in climate science that would later reshape my career.
Oil, gas & energy
Worked in O&G exploration then downstream energy consulting, advising some of the world's largest energy companies — integrated majors, retailers, and national energy companies. During this time, the climate impacts of these companies grew on my mind. A UK-to-Oman flight for a 2-hour meeting made the disconnect impossible to ignore.
Sustainability consultant
Pivoted into sustainability consulting at Carbon Intelligence, bringing transferable consulting and energy sector expertise to sustainability advisory. Primarily worked with large companies across a wide range of sectors on greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting, net zero, climate risk, reporting, and strategy. Became product owner of GHG measurement & reporting, responsible for the quality and delivery of all related projects.
